Patios, Walls, Plantings and Drainage, Planned With the Whole Project
Most landscape problems start when the yard is an afterthought: water headed for the foundation, a patio that doesn't meet the door, a wall that leans after two winters. We plan the outside with the house, so it all works together.
Outdoor Living, One Team
- Paver and stone patios, walkways and fire pit areas
- Retaining walls and steps
- Landscaping, plantings and sod
- Irrigation systems
- Grading, drainage and downspout routing away from the house
- Decks, docks and shoreline work coordinated with the yard
Built after the heavy work
When landscaping is part of a bigger project, we schedule it after the roof, siding and excavation are done, so new plantings and patios aren't torn up by equipment.
The Rules Behind a Good Yard
| Call before you dig | Minnesota law requires a Gopher State One Call locate (811) at least two business days before any digging, so buried lines are marked. |
|---|---|
| Grade away from the house | Code requires the ground to fall at least 6 inches within the first 10 feet away from the foundation, so water drains away instead of into the basement. |
| Taller retaining walls | Walls holding back more than 4 feet of soil must be engineered, and many cities require a permit. |
| Irrigation | Automatic irrigation systems in Minnesota must have a rain sensor or similar shutoff. |
| Lake lots | Patios and paths near the water count toward shoreland impervious-surface limits. We check before design is final. |

Landscape FAQ
Can you fix water pooling near my foundation?
Yes. We regrade so the ground slopes away from the house, extend downspouts, and add drainage where needed. It's often the cheapest fix for a wet basement.
Do retaining walls need a permit?
Taller walls usually do, and walls holding back more than 4 feet of soil must be engineered. We check with your city and handle it.
Can landscaping be part of a bigger project?
Yes. That's the best time to do it. We plan it with the addition, roof or siding and schedule it last, so it isn't damaged.
What does it cost?
Every yard is different, so each project is priced from a free customized estimate. Call or text 952.314.9446.
Is the work warrantied?
Yes. Super Crew warrants workmanship and materials for one year on home improvements. Your rights under Minnesota law are not limited.
